How to Join the Pittsburgh Curling Club
- Explore the membership options below, the leagues, and programs the Pittsburgh Curling Club offers.
- People new to the club can sign up at the New Membership Sign Up page. Existing Members can renew their membership on the ‘My PghCC Portal’
- Join any and all leagues you wish to play in, for new curlers check out our Futures league. There are 3 sign up periods Fall, Winter and Spring. Fall sign ups begin August, Winter sign ups will be around December and Spring around march
- Familiarize yourself with curling rules and etiquette.
- Have fun, enjoy, and consider volunteering.
Membership Benefits Overview
At the Pittsburgh Curling Club, our curling year runs September through June. The curling year is broken down into three seasons; Fall ( September - December ), Winter ( January - March ) and Spring ( April - June ). You do not have to join us for all of these seasons.
The base membership is for the PghCC’s curling year. This base membership gets you access to the club and specific privileges. Our membership includes the perks of
- Eligibility to join our leagues, league fees vary by league type
- On & off ice club events
- Practice ice time
- Use of all "house" equipment, such as brooms and sliders
- Insurance that covers your curling activities with us
- Membership in the Grand National Curling Club (GNCC)
Junior/Student membership have more limited privileges but include access to their own dedicated programs.
Our Social membership is only for off-ice activities but you can still join in the warm room fun!
On & off ice club events are a way to get club members together outside of the regular leagues. This includes curling clinics, friendly tournaments with other nearby curling clubs and parties. While most events are free for our base members some events do have additional costs and some require in-advance sign-ups
Practice Ice uses a reservation system open to all regular members with dedicated times.
Leagues are hosted on almost every night of the week with a mix of skills and atmospheres. Each league has a league fee based on the type of league it is.
